影片取材自唐代裴刑短篇小说集《传奇》里的《聂隐娘》一篇，讲述聂隐娘幼时被一尼姑掳走，过了五年被送回已是一名技艺高超的女刺客，一次她奉命刺杀刘昌裔却为对方气度折服转而投靠，后又化解精精儿、空空儿两次行刺，是为名噪一时的传奇女侠。
两年后，女孩叶雨终于获得医学院的硕士文凭，赶来祝贺她的是她母亲以前的学生莫名（张磊饰），现在他为了她付出一切，叶雨真诚感谢莫名对她学业的帮助，莫名则表示他早在她小时候就已经喜欢上这个如天使般美丽的小姑娘，并一直默默的等待这一天，同时莫名拿出一枚精致的戒指戴在叶雨的手上。
