唐僧师徒四人取经归来，加封斗战胜佛的孙悟空将如意金箍棒回归定海神针，巡视须弥四洲，降妖除魔。在前往锁妖塔肃清出逃妖魔之际，发现天庭指人为妖的行径，随即救出是人非妖的女子月弦，一路护佑旨在向观音菩萨寻个出路，一路上朝夕相处，与月弦暗生情愫，不料蜂拥而至的天庭追兵以及清风道长的背后使诈…孙悟空一如当年勇猛，为了一人一妖再战天庭。
本剧改编自同名漫画，讲述了《源氏物语》中的平安贵族光源氏偶然穿越到世界观完全不同的现代，降临在单身女白领藤原沙织的家中，并开始了跨越千年寄居生活的喜剧故事。
该剧根据人气推理小说家凑佳苗的同名小说改编。藤原龙也饰演一名从知名大学毕业，过着普通人生的32岁工薪族·深濑。户田惠梨香饰演深濑的恋人·美穂子，两人在一间咖啡专卖店相遇相恋。
故事从美穂子某天收到了一份写有”深濑杀了人”的告发信开始，慢慢揭开10年前，深濑大学时代的挚友广泽之死的那场”事故”和”事件”背后的种种真相，以友情和赎罪为主题的悬疑剧。
