《猫鼠游戏》独家剧透：《迷失》（Lost）中的丽贝卡•麦德（Rebecca Mader）盯上了尼尔还有戴安（Diana）？！
在澳大利亚墨尔本当地，有个著名的犯罪家族――科迪家族。其中的三兄弟达伦（卢克·福特 饰），巴兹（乔尔·埃哲顿饰）和克雷格（苏利文·斯坦普莱顿 饰）与他们的叔叔"教父"（本·门德尔森饰）隐匿于当地。而同时，警察也渐渐向这个家庭围拢，在大战一触即发之际，这个家族的年仅17岁成员约书亚（詹姆斯·弗兰切威勒饰）却陷入矛盾。一方面，他需要忠于他的家族，保护他的兄弟父母。
故事以于凡（周润发）及江浩文（梁朝伟）两个生活不同环境的人物，带出现实社会的一个小片段。于凡从事电影替身及特技人，浩文则是一间顾问公司的小职员，两人的遇上，极不咬弦而成为难兄难弟。于凡极爱同居的女友杜旖玲，但旖玲不喜欢他这种无规律的工作，两人终于分手。而浩文因在公司内不得志，愤而辞职，后更与于凡同住。于凡与浩文无意中被牵涉入一宗毒品案中，但两人毫不知情，更被黑帮用荷兰杀手宋波（任达华）追杀。另一方面，浩文加入社区中心当社工，因工作关系，浩文结识了康嘉欣（陈秀珠），两人展开一段恋情。而杀手宋波一方面对嘉欣展开追求，一方面又要杀害于凡与浩文，故事发展曲折，出人意表。

该剧将围绕2011年NBC播报的真实犯罪新闻Betsy Faria谋杀案的背后故事展开，Russ Faria谋杀了妻子Betsy Faria，而这一案件则与美国妇女Pamela Marie Hupp2016年在密苏里州奥法伦市的家中谋杀了Louis Gumpenberger交叉在一起，Hupp被判处无期徒刑。
