在正和从食品公司辞职后一年，接替前辈正和的山岸（太贺饰）身兼区域经理和“鸡肉百姓”的店长两职，每天都很忙，不过，他做事仍然我行我素，活得悠然自得。某天，为接受电视剧《宽松世代又如何》的编剧采访，山岸作为宽松世代的代表造访电视台。对于其他参加者的发言他嗤之鼻，还说了他自己起诉同事的事情，让制作人和编剧听得津津有味。助理制作人须藤冬美（佐津川爱美饰）奉上司的命令，对山岸进行补充采访。冬美憧憬着由此完成由自己策划的电视剧，干劲儿十足，为了搜集素材她和山岸开始交往。
该剧讲述了被爱的人背叛后，为重新找回自己的人生而展开的复仇活动。
《The Fix》由Marcia Clark﹑Elizabeth Craft及Sara Fain共同执笔，剧中讲述女主Maya Travis（Robin Tunney）是位女检察官，在8年前她输了谋杀案的庭审并成为传媒的批评对象，因此她离开了洛杉矶隐居在俄勒冈州的农村。然而8年后这位凶手再一次行凶，这次Maya究竟该蹈矩循规，还是不惜一切下把他送进牢狱？ 虽然案中剧情是虚构的，不过灵感是来自Marcia Clark本人，过去她身为检察官时输得最为著名的就是O.J. Simpson一案。
