以太宰治诞辰100周年为契机，集英社推出了旗下画家重新绘制名家短篇的企划。他们分别是小畑健重新绘制的太宰治名作《人间失格》与夏目漱石的《心》；久保带人重新绘制的坂口安吾的《盛开的樱花林下》、芥川龙之介的两篇小说《地狱变》和《蜘蛛丝》；许斐刚重新绘制的太宰治的《快跑！梅乐斯》。6篇名作以漫画的形式出现在大家面前，再次绽放活力。对于读过原著的人，这些是读过的书；而对于没有读过的人，这是不曾接触的领域。因为是名作，所以超越时间的限制，反而愈显青涩，常读常新。
