鲁邦三世第六季动画全集将于2018年4月播出。为该系列作品第五部动画，故事的舞台来到了现代的数码社会，鲁邦三世和世界传奇盗贼亚森·罗宾来到了起源之地——法国。乘坐老爷车、使用旧式手枪的鲁邦就这样来到数字时代，在新系列中使用互联网、移动终端等科技产品。
故事主要发生地在毗邻中国边境城市满城的俄罗斯阿尔塔州。2002 年冬天一起跨境军火走私案和中俄边境连续几起杀人案，把中俄两国警方联系了起来。
