Since then, MDT model has gradually been promoted and perfected in Germany, France, Italy, the United States and other countries where medical centers are relatively large. In 2000, the Commonwealth Government emphasized the importance of MDT in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients in the National Cancer Plan, pointing out that the close cooperation of MDT members can increase the survival rate of patients. At present, many cancer diagnosis and treatment guidelines in Europe and the United States stipulate that all patients with confirmed tumors must undergo relevant MDT consultation before receiving treatment.
