20年前著名心理学家欧阳秋和好友兼同事的阮昊天（刘骐饰），前往黎明城一起参与一项秘密的研究项目，但是在研究过程中不知发生了何种变故，最终欧阳秋离奇坠楼而死，好友阮昊天（刘骐饰）也如人间蒸发一般神秘失踪，研究项目随即被叫停。
讲述了经历了同僚挖坑、领导算计、亲妈造作等波折的失业女孩邱冬娜，跌跌撞撞还是进入了她最不想选择的公司——旧相识顾飞和初恋对象的继母程帆扬共同创办的非凡会计师事务所。后来在职场遇上不走寻常路的老板顾飞，二人一路化解工作、生活双重难题，最后成为灵魂伴侣的故事。
改编自押见修造的同名漫画原著《恶之华》。导演是曾执导《接招吧！那边的女孩》等漫改作品的井口升，编剧则是曾编写《我们仍未知道那天所看见的花的名字》等许多人气动画剧本的冈田磨里。
