FX新喜剧《亚特兰大》早早就续订了第二季，不过因为主演Donald Glover要参演《星球大战》Han Solo外传电影（饰演要角Lando Calrissian）的关系，该剧在TCA上宣布17年不会有第二季，要推迟到18年才播出。

《杜鹃山》总制片人严从华介绍，对于此次翻拍要本着尊重经典的原则，经过近八个月的前期筹备，既要丰富人物，又要最大程度忠实于京剧版，改编几易其稿，“京剧与电视剧毕竟是两种不同的载体，电视剧有京剧的‘脸谱化’，更多要从现实生活中塑造，人物要更加丰满，拍摄难度极高。”
