《三个奶爸》由著名编剧赵冬苓、张云霄执笔，讲述了不同年龄、不同阅历、性格迥异的新一代都市青年男女，因为一个突如其来的婴儿而使生活逐步改变，在处理感情、职场、家庭等各方面问题时，不断成长与变化的逗趣故事。陶语桐（张歆艺饰）和余峥（李晨饰）是夫妻，作为律师的陶语桐对老实人余峥又爱又恨，因为余峥的无心之过，两个人的感情陷入低谷，事业也有了危机。余峥在陶语桐搬离房子的时候，决定出租自己的次卧，减轻经济压力和刺激妻子陶语桐。夏峰（田雷饰演）和张一男（陈赫饰演）作为租客搬了进来，没想到，随之而来的还有一个被遗弃的孩子。三个男人在尝试过各种不靠谱的主意，并且吃了很多亏之后，决定一起为了孩子的奶粉，开始奋斗。孩子的出现，给余峥和陶语桐的关系也带来了改善，而夏峰和同为律师的女友邹男（张萌饰演）之间却越行越远。张一男为了孩子摒弃以前坏的习惯，开始靠谱起来。没想到这时候，孩子的身世引发了一系列的官司，邹男和陶语桐站在了法庭的对立面。一波未平一波又起，孩子居然生了重病，面对巨额医药费，三个奶爸没有放弃。
