一九三七年十二月二十七日，中共山东省委在篦子店召开紧急会议，会议根据急剧变化的形势，决定在泰城被日寇攻占前正式举行起义。日军中佐滨野高广作为日军先头部队进入泰城境内。徂徕山崖头庄，正值村长杨守南次子杨东良大婚。在迎娶新娘胡腊梅的路上，杨东良等人遭遇了土匪头目鞠振山抢亲，年轻气盛的杨东良带人剿匪，却误打误撞杀死了两个日本侦察兵。杨守南大儿子杨东善带着省委的冯超等同志回崖头庄准备起义，被汉奸吕茂恒出卖，导致崖头庄被滨野高广带领的日军中队血洗。一九三八年一月一日，冯超、杨东善等人在徂徕山大寺召集各界爱国人士一百六十余人宣誓起义，成立“八路军鲁中抗日游击队第四支队”。杨东良和新婚妻子胡腊梅在冯超等人带领下，成功潜伏进泰城，破坏了日军的一系列战略计划，一举歼灭了滨野高广带领的日军部队。
