故事发生在一个只在夜里开门的小餐馆中，这里的菜单只有猪肉味增汤套餐一种，但是老板可以根据客人的要求利用现有食材做出各种料理，而且他还会和客人一起带出一个个充满人情味的故事，在韩剧版《深夜食堂》中金承佑将饰演日剧版中由小林薰饰演的餐馆老板这一角色。
